Black Park is an exploration of social and political implications of Greenwich and Deptford.
Rural persecution drove populations of savage beasts to an urban refuge. Some immigrant groups acquired elements of the host culture, while others were sticking doggedly to their tribal behaviour.
Looking at either the deer and fox population in the Greenwich/Deptford area the observant scholar will find a curious tendency towards preferred neighbourhoods.
Using this site:
In the GALLERY section visitors can explore our documentation of kinship, customs and social rituals.
In the SALON section visitors can participate by submitting their own observations and accounts. For the duration of DeptfordX-Ephemeral City we will follow up the individual comments. We will seek out and publish any available evidence.
